I've been working as a maker and designer of bespoke jewellery for about seven years. I completed my degree in Gold and Silversmithing at the Queensland College of Art in 2001 and shortly after established my first workshop in Paddington, Brisbane.
Having taken a couple of years to travel and work as a commercial jewellery designer in Edinburgh, I was eager to settle back into my own practice in Brisbane, collecting client’s stories and designing and creating one-off pieces to match them.
I feel so lucky that many of my clients share their personal histories and experiences with me and entrust me to create a unique piece of jewellery that captures their story.
In my work I am inspired by patterns in nature, unusual textures and mechanical movements. I love working with gold and silver and creating pieces using a variety of precious and semi-precious stones.
My workshop is currently based in the little studio in the garden, at my home in the bush, on the west side of Brisbane.
